    second, when you show the fight at the end of the episode does the computer program simulate the fight or do you get actors to stage the fight?

    Since you're doing these mini episodes while waiting for season two. Wouldnt it be a great Idea to just run some of the precolected data on the warriors and pit some of the season one contestants against others? Like perhaps the knight versus the samurai or the Apache vs. the ninja. This would keep us the fans singing praises and flooding the aftermath from here till christmas. Seriously, you have the data and we know the episodes, how about some remixed rematches? just thinking aloud.

    I just found out about this series from my best friend. I never knew that it exsisted. I'm glad that I was able to get up to speed on season one online @ Spike & I'm anxiously awaiting season 2 ! Congrats to the producers for executing (pun not intended) such an excellent idea/show - and thank you Spike for having the balls to air it in such a politically-correct-handcuffed TV environment!
    I agree w/ other posters in that, now that you have the data recorded, you could cross warriors & air the results as a teaser for the upcoming season....
    Keep up the excellent work !

    On one of these special aftermaths, please tell us if there will be even more than 13 episodes next season, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEASE tell us about some of the warriors of season 2. I'm not asking about all of them, or any of the matchups. I just want to know about a few of them. And Max, after reading your comments to people like me, it won't kill you and you won't have to snap anybody's neck. Just tell us of about 3 or 4 of the cultures that will be in season 2. It would shut up a lot of people that are annoying you about subjects like this one.

    i think that if you put a bunch of warriors against each other you should have different category's. Because( for example) the ninja VS spartan was an entertaining episode except that a ninja and a spartan were used for completely different purposes. A ninja was an assassin a spartan was a tank made to fight i wars. For this reason i think you should put warriors that are more like one another against each other.

    ok.. I'm really, really glad about season two, and that it's gunna be longer, but I gotta call bull on something you guys said. one of the main things that piss of people are the final fight depictions. those ARE not acurate most of the time. the retardation of the viking NOT pulling out his shield and charging a dude with bow and arrow without the shield, the knight hitting the pirate in the face and the pirate not dying, when the apache looked dead then came back to life to destroy the gladiator, these were some of the poorly thought out moments that caused the most controversy. I was also intersted that aparently it is vital to be passionate. that too seems to me to have been the fatal flaw of the vikings, knights, and gladiators. they're teams were too chilled. as a fan of all those, I gotta ask, next season, could you guys try not letting in such weaksauce experts next season?

    I disagre crowlzor, I thought that all of the simulations were entertaining, if not completely accurate (however, keep in mind that this is indeed a television show, and not an actual battle of the ancients), and I am whole-heartedly looking forward to season two. As far as warriors I would personally like to see grace Deadliest Warrior next season, I'm going to have to go with Roman Legionary Milites Gregarii (basic foot soldiers) wearing lorica segmentata, with scutum (their classic rectangular shield with rounded edges), tunics, roman army helmets, and cingulum, armed with a pugio, gladius, hasta, and pilum as my top choice.

    about the roman legionaire, not a good idea. the romans fought againest just about everyone of the b.c. world. biggest ones were against the egyptians, mongols, huns, spartans(sparta defeated rome), carthages, and persians. they also didn't survive more than a couple hundred years in the a.d. period because at that point they became a very crappy army. looking at how they fought so many b.c. warriors, and if placed against a.d. warriors the romans would be destroyed by the far more advanced technology (i.e. i'm not just talking steel and guns). it'd be kind of a boring episode because to go up a household name of ancient times, the show would have to place the roman against someone he's probably fought before in real life, and from a.d. time he'd probably only be able to defeat the ninja because the ninja sucks. sounding lame

    Special Weapon: Lariat (If this doesn't work change it to a Bullwhip)

    Great job on the Aftermath. It's fun hearing opinions from all angles of the production.

    As for season 2, can't wait. If they do match up warriors from Season 1, i want to see ninja/Shaolin monk, Maori/Apache, and most of all, Knight/Samuari.

    As far as Season 2 goes, i'll hop on the band wagon and say Aztec/Celt. As far as other warriors go: Hawaiian, Mongol, Egyptian (new kingdom), Inca, Sikh, Roman legionnaire, Khmer warrior, Filipino tribesman, and Kight of St. John.

    non biased to the Viking and Samurai match mi'arse , Ryo Okada associate producer Japanese, no wonder the viking was portrayed so dumb/unskilled and the samurai even had a weapon the Kanabo he dint use, that they said broke shields and arms which it would not.Gary Tarpinian worships the Spartan wow and he won too. Also saying staging very accurate and realistic fights for they end of the show ,hum wasn't this your defense to what controversies over certain things that made your show totally inaccurate that we called you on .Then you say they are realistic and accurate after you said they where not which is it? Then saying you researched it and talking about learning as your going.Did the experts bring the knowledge and weapons or did you tell them what they where going to use and do ? Hope you do better next season I'll be watching Muhahaha :P

    Really cool put squads of ancient warriors against another like squad of Immortals fighting a squad of Jaguar Warriors.

    Cool leader fights 2 Hydarnes the Ripper(Immortals leader) vs I don't know Genghis Khan(just guessin)

    Want to see the Immortals and their leader in action so the 300 crap can go away I mean there's a reason they were undefeated for 500 years and only lost at Thermopylae because they were bunched together. Hell even after they lost to the end of the Achaemenid Empire they whole records were lots of wins and like 3-6 maybe 7 loses.

    British Redcoat:
    Long Range - Brown Bess Musket w/ Bayonet (long or short pattern)
    Mid Range - Hand axe, Spontoon, or Pistol
    Close range - Hangar or Cuttoe sword
    Special - Grenade or Wall Gun

    Confederate Soldier:
    Long Range - Enfield rifle
    Midrange - 1851 Colt revolver or LeMatt revolver
    Close range - Bowie Knife
    Special - Landmine

    German Jaeger:
    Long Range - Jaeger Rifle
    Mid Range - Pistol?
    Close Range - Hirschfanger
    Special - Fortress Gun or Fusil Flinte (German Shotgun)

    I really think they should do a show on the viking again and do it historically right the way they where not how Hollywood portrays them in cheesy films.     Egil Skallagrimson VS Miyamoto Musashi

    I love both of them hehe would rule and yes Miyamoto Musashi is not a samurai he is a duelist of Japan and died of old age and unconventional at that he threw his short sword and fought with two katanas much like I like two long swords and I recommend his book "A Book of Five Rings" and Egil died in his 90's from a duel both duelist :P

    to set the record straight the only reason why sparta beat the immortals was because they were forced in a bottle neck but lets say Thermopylae was like an open field or forested area the Immortals lead by Hydarnes would annihilate'em. PLEASE put the Immortals against somebody mainly an Impi for domination of all of Africa(since the middle east is just a break away part of Africa) or Americas Indians. IMMORTALS ROCK
